The South Gas Corridor project can be one of the most successful examples of regional “green” energy corridors in the world.
This was stated by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Alparslan Bayractar at the 11th ministerial meeting held in Baku at the Consultative Council on the Southern Gas Corridor and the 3rd ministerial meeting as part of the Advisory Council on Green Energy.
According to him, the high level of participation in the event indicates the determination of the countries of the region to ensure energy security based on more favorable prices. “From year to year, our cooperation is being promoted on the way to the best future for the entire region, and this should continue. As we all know, the latest political events tensions and geopolitical tension demonstrated the significance of regional and global dialogue to increase the safety of energy supply and the stability of energy markets,” the minister said.
The head of the department emphasized the important role of the Southern Gas Corridor in ensuring long -term energy cooperation. The minister also drew attention to the firm commitment and mutual understanding of the parties on this issue, Bayractar described the meeting in Baku as an opportunity to supplement this cooperation with projects in the field of “pure energy”.
Alparslan Bayractar confirmed the readiness of Turkey to continue to maintain active regional cooperation, since Ankara believes that “today it is more important and necessary.”
