Spacecraft “Blue Ghost” Plunged Into Silence On Moon

The Blue Ghost spacecraft of the American aerospace company Firefly Aerospace, which was launched to collect dust and measure the surface of the moon surface, stopped reacting to commands.

The company’s flight management center in Texas was informed about the state of the spacecraft to the moon.

According to the report, the solar panels of the Blue Ghost apparatus, which completed two -week experiments, rolled the charging and fell silent on the weekend. The spacecraft successfully completed more than 14 days of work on the surface and more than 5 hours of work on the moonlit night.

10 experiments conducted by Blue Ghost are recognized as successful, and photos of sunset and glow of the moon will be published within a week.

The Chief Executive Director (CEO) Firefly Aerospace Jason Kim said in a message published on the X website: “The mission is completed.“ Ghost ”is still in our hearts for the trip that he arranged for us.”

Blue Ghost was launched on January 15 from the Kennedy cosmodrome in Florida (USA) to collect dust and measure the moon surface temperature.

On March 2, the spacecraft landed at the very northeastern end of the moon, delivering scientific and technological equipment for NASA, including drills and vacuum cleaners.
