SpaceX launched Odyssey ship for landing on moon

SpaceX launched into space the Odyssey spacecraft for landing on the moon. The device was built as part of the IM-1 mission by the American company Intuitive Machines.

Odyssey spacecraft was launched into the orbit of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from the site of the Space Center named after John Kennedy (Florida).

It is expected that the landing of the lunar module will take place near the South Pole of the moon on February 22.

In the event of a successful landing, this will be the first US spacecraft that made a soft landing on the surface of the moon after the Apollo 17 mission in 1972.

“Odysseus” also carries six different useful loads that NASA plans to use as part of the Artemis mission.
