The Falcon 9 launch vehicle starts in orbit with the next batch of 15 mini-satellites to replenish the orbital grouping of the global Internet cover of the Starlink system, the SpaceX developer said.
The launch will be made from the SLC-4E launch pad based on the American space forces of Vandenberg in California.
This is the 95th launch of Internet satellites since May 2019 as part of the Starlink project and the 26th since the beginning of the current year. SpaceX brought more than 4.8 thousand such satellites into orbit. Some of them failed or left orbit. Almost 4.5 thousand devices remain in orbit in working condition.
The first reusable step of the launch vehicle, which is used for the 10th time, will have to make a controlled vertical landing on the sea platform-drone OF COURSE I Still Love You, located in the Pacific Ocean.
