Spain temporarily suspended the work of the embassy in the capital of Sudan Hartum because of the armed clashes between the army and the rapid response forces that began on April 15.
This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain.
The Foreign Ministry noted that the decision was made for security reasons.
“The Embassy of Spain in Hartum will be closed before the further notice. We urge citizens not to go outside and stay in places of residence,” the statement said.
