Speaker Of Estonian Parliament: With Russia You Can Conclude Peace Treaty

Estonian experience proves the possibility of concluding peace with Russia on its own conditions. This was stated by the speaker of Riigikogu (parliament) Lauri Hossar on February 24, on the day of the 107th anniversary of the country’s independence.

According to the speaker, the formula used by Estonia 105 years ago may become the basis of a peace agreement for Ukraine.

Hussar recalled that the key to the signing of the Tartu Peace Treaty of 1920 was the military superiority of Estonia, the support of the Allies and the strict economic sanctions against Russia.

The speaker emphasized that a similar approach is necessary today to achieve a sustainable world in Ukraine.

“Only decisive support of Ukraine by all countries of the free world can guarantee freedom. Otherwise, there will be no freedom,” Hussar abolished.

The politician also recalled that Estonia provides Ukraine with military and economic support in the most per capita among all countries of the world.

The speaker emphasized that Estonia understands the “imperialist policy of Russia and its leadership.”

“We know the character of the Russian leader of [Vladimir] Putin. We do not want anyone to be in the Gulag,” added Hossar,

Hussar called on the international community not to weaken the pressure on Russia and continue the solid support of Ukraine to guarantee a fair and long -term world.
