The chairman of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili congratulated Azerbaijan on the successful conduct of the parliamentary elections.
“I cordially congratulate Azerbaijan on the successful holding of parliamentary elections. Milli Majlis won the democratic mandate of the Azerbaijani people to continue the construction of strong and single Azerbaijan,” the speaker wrote.
Papuashvili emphasized the role of cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries for the region. “I look forward to close cooperation with my Azerbaijani colleagues in ensuring our peoples with peace, safety and well -being,” said the chairman of the Georgian parliament.
On September 1, Azerbaijan was held early elections to the country’s parliament. According to preliminary data, the most votes were received by candidates from the ruling party “Yeni Azerbaijan.”
