Speaker Of Georgian Parliament: Truce Does Not Guarantee Long -term World

The speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili announced the need to establish a strong world in Ukraine, emphasizing that “the ceasefire does not guarantee a long -term world.”

Papuashvili turned to the participants of the 3rd parliamentary summit of the Crimean platform, held in the capital of Latvia Riga, through a video conference.

“For more than two and a half years, we are witnessing the destructive war in Europe, the repetition of which no one could think,” said the speaker of the Georgian parliament.

He noted that Georgia and the Georgian people support Ukraine, since “no one knows better than the pain of war and the price of the world.”

According to Papuashvili, the international system could not provide a fair and stable world first in Georgia, and then in Ukraine.

“We warned our partners that an international system that could not prevent a war in Georgia, and now in Ukraine, will not be able to provide a fair world,” he added.

Papuashvili emphasized that a temporary ceasefire as a whole does not lead to the world.

“We were the first to find out what the frozen conflict means as a result of a temporary truce. A truce does not guarantee a long -term world. Therefore, freezing the conflict will not provide reliable guarantees of the world,” he summed up.
