The collapse of the USSR is a tragedy for all residents of the country, since all that they created and defended over the past time, wrote in their Telegram-channel Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
“30 years ago the USSR broke up. This is a tragedy for all of us: everything that was protected, built and created throughout the previous time, collapsed,” said Volodin.
The speaker of the State Duma stated that there are still different opinions on this matter, and suggested their readers to take part in a survey about the causes of the collapse of the USSR.
Volodin offered subscribers five options to choose from: weak leadership of the country, betrayal of party elites, empty shelves in stores, lack of competition in politics – monopoly on the power of one party (CPSU) or foreign intervention.
