Speaker Of Turkish Parliament: Ankara And Budapest Expand Cooperation

Chairman of the Great National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmush and speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Laszlo Kever took part in cultural events in the framework of the “Year of the Culture of Turkey and Hungary-2024”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Upon completion of a joint press conference, the speakers of parliaments visited the VNST in the Turkish-Hungarian photo exhibition in the Hall of Honor. At the exhibition, among other things, documents from the archive of the Great National Assembly of Turkey regarding Turkish-Hungarian relations were exhibited.

Kurtulmush and Kever also visited the music concert in the ceremonial hall of the great National Assembly of Turkey. The artists of the Main Directorate of the Elegant Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey and artists from Hungary came to the stage.

Numan Kurtulmush emphasized that cooperation between Turkey and Hungary on international platforms is expanding.

The speaker of the Turkish parliament recalled that Hungary is a member of the Turkp. He expressed hope for the speedy receipt of the status of a full -fledged member of the Turkpa.

“We are very glad to see in our ranks Hungary as an important partner and an important part of the Turkic world geographically extending from Central Asia to Europe, whose population is about 300 million people,” he said.
