April 23 is not only a holiday of children who sometimes fall on a heavy burden of wars, resettlement, injustice, crises and poverty, but also a day of memory and conscience.
This was said by the chairman of the Great National Assembly (Parliament) of Turkey Numan Kurtulmush on the occasion of the day of national sovereignty and children celebrated in the country on April 23. This day coincides with the start of the first convocation of the Great National Assembly in 1920 in Ankara.
According to the speaker, members of the Turkish parliament consider the general duty of mankind the desire to ensure that children of the whole world gain security, the rights of NV of the field of education, health and culture.
“We again declare our determination to continue to defend democracy, law and human dignity under any circumstances, remaining devoted to the will of the people,” he said.
Kurtulmush noted that the Turkish parliament, “which on April 23, 1920, created a nation contrary to all hardships with faith in the ideals of independence, and to which the sovereignty unconditionally entrusted, in the 105th year of its existence continues its activities with the same spirit and determination.”
The politician emphasized that the basic principle of VSST activity is the protection of national sovereignty.
