Starbucks Is Preparing For Dismissal In Their Corporate Team

Starbucks – the American coffee company and the coffee shop of the same name, plans to reduce its corporate team as part of reconstruction plans in March. At the same time, dismissal will not affect the barists working in the branches of the company. This is stated in the Starbucks report submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

In particular, Starbucks Executive Director Brian Nikol reports that in September last year a plan was presented to revive the company, and contrary to a large amount of work, in general he is satisfied with the progress achieved.

He noted that at the first stage, the work was carried out in branches in the USA and Canada. And since the company seeks to transform a business on a global scale, it was also necessary to study the role, structure and size of its support groups around the world, he explained.

Niccol indicated that support groups (corporate team) must radically change the organization and work style.

“Unfortunately, I assume that in the future we will have to conduct dismissal and reduce the number of our support groups. This will not affect the work of our employees in stores or our investments during the hours of stores. We will announce changes in early March” – he said.
