At the I Congress of Azerbaijani in the world, held in 2001 in Baku on the initiative of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the idea of creating a special state structure was put forward in order to conduct systematic work with Azerbaijanis living abroad, strengthening their national unity. A few months later, namely, on July 5, 2002, by decree of the President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis living abroad was created. In November 2008, by order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, on the basis of the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijani residing abroad, the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora was created.
In connection with the 20th anniversary of the creation of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan, the chairman of the State Committee Fuad Muradov, the department’s employees and the Diaspora activists have honored the memory of the national leader of Heydar Aliyev and the outstanding ophthalmologist Academician ZARIM KHANUM ALIEVA in the Honorary Honorary Burials, laid a wreath and flowers.
on the occasion of this date, a festive event and a concert called “Our Strength in Unity” took place in the N-na military unit located in Karabakh. The event began with the execution of the anthem of Azerbaijan, then a minute of silence was honored by the memory of Azerbaijan who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. After that, a video was demonstrated in which they reflected the speeches of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev about national identity and diaspora, the statements of President Ilham Aliyev about the 44-day Patriotic War, held in Europe and the rallies dedicated to Karabach and the promotions, the V Congress of Azerbaijanis, held in the city of Shusha. .
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora Foid Muradov spoke of the diaspora policy of Azerbaijan, the great role of the Azerbaijani diaspora in bringing to the world community of the Karabakh realities, the activities of the diaspora during the Patriotic War and in the past period, material and moral help provided by the armed forces of Azerbaijan, families of Shehids and veterans.
The event continued with the performance of artists. The concert program, as well as a combat show prepared by military personnel on the occasion of the anniversary of the State Committee, were met with great interest.
The anniversary program, in which the soldiers and officers of the Army of Azerbaijan took part, ended with the joint performance of the National Dance “Yalla”, a symbol of the unity and solidarity of the Azerbaijani people.
