The United States is grateful to Turkey and President of the country Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the efforts aimed at resuming the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
This was announced at a briefing by the deputy press secretary of the State Department of the United States Vedant Patel.
According to him, the decision of the Russian Federation to withdraw from the “grain transaction” harms companies conducting the fight against the lack of food security around the world.
Patel emphasized that during a visit to Sochi, the Turkish President made efforts to return Russia to a “grain transaction.”
“We are grateful to President Erdogan and our ally in NATO – Turkey for the important role that they play in the efforts to resume the” grain transaction, “he said.
