The US State Department commented on Moscow criticism of Baku due to Azerbaijan’s transfer to Ukraine to strengthen its energy system, Turan reports.
To the agency’s question, how the United States evaluates the desire of Moscow to prevent other countries to help Ukrainians in difficult times, Deputy Spokesman of the State Department Vedante Patel said that Washington could only welcome such help.
“We will continue to welcome support from our allies, partners and countries around the world to help Ukraine strengthen its energy system, make it more reliable so that it can withstand constant attacks from Russia,” he said.
Azerbaijan announced last Sunday that he sends humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which consists of basic electrical equipment. This caused the discontent of Moscow. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Russian Armed Forces “destroy the critically important infrastructure of Ukraine, which is used by the Kyiv regime for military needs,” and Azerbaijan transfer transformers and generators to Ukraine as gums is “perplexed”.
