State Duma Of Russian Federation Adopted Law On Fight Against Illegal Migration

The State Duma of the Russian Federation in the second and third, final, reading adopted on October 29 a bill on tightening criminal punishment for organizing illegal migration.

According to the law, for the organization of illegal migration committed by a group or for serious or especially serious crimes in the Russian Federation, he will face eight to 15 years in prison.

In addition, a fine of 3 million to 5 million rubles is provided, as well as the deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions.

The bill also proposes to strengthen responsibility for forgery, creation or use of fake documents, as well as for offenses related to fictitious registration and accounting of foreign citizens. For such advanced actions, imprisonment is provided for a term of two to six years.
