From the moment the weather forecast was received at the National Center for Remote Recognition and Tracking of Vessels of the State Maritime Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications, High Technologies, shipowners, port captains, port control inspectors were instructed to implement appropriate measures and strengthen services. Safe anchorage of ships in anchorage shelters is provided.
According to the information, during the day from 12 to 13 March in the Caspian Sea, the north-west wind is expected to increase to 18-23 m / s, gusts up to 25-30 m / s, and in the open sea up to 33 m / s … It is predicted that the wave height will reach 2.5-3.5 m, and in further development – 4.5-6.5 m.
The National Center for Remote Recognition and Tracking of Ships of the State Maritime Agency is operated by experienced captains. Once the ships have been placed in the appropriate anchorage shelters, the process of their safe anchorage is continuously monitored by radars.
According to weather conditions, experienced captains of the National Center will allow ships to move in and out of ports. As in the daily work of the agency, the safety of the movement of ships sailing in the territorial waters of our country under both Azerbaijani and foreign flags will be ensured. The leadership of the State Maritime Agency is in continuous communication with the National Center and monitors the provision of vessel traffic safety.
