Stoltenberg: Finland and Sweden agree to Turkey conditions

Finland and Sweden are ready to remove some concern of Turkey to combat terrorism in order to become members of NATO as soon as possible, but the deadlines are unknown. This was stated on Wednesday by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference in the anticipation of a meeting of the Minister of Defense of the Alliance countries in Brussels.

“Turkey – an important ally of NATO – expressed concern associated with the struggle against terrorism. When an ally raises concern, this is legitimate concern, we need to sit down at the table and discuss them. This is what we are doing now. I welcome the signals from Sweden and Finland that they are ready to take actions in order to remove these concern, ”TASS quotes the words of Stoltenberg.
