Stoltenberg: Sweden took steps to resolve a dispute with Turkey on NATO

Sweden took important steps to satisfy Turkey’s requirements to approve the country’s application for joining NATO. In particular, the country began to change its anti -terrorism legislation. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, reports The Gardian.

“I welcome the fact that Sweden has already begun to change its anti -terrorist legislation. And Sweden will ensure that the legal framework for weapons export reflects the future status of NATO member with new obligations to the allies,” he said.

Alliance Secretary General added that these are two important steps to solve the problems affected by Turkey.
