Sweden and Finland should strengthen cooperation with Turkey in the fight against the PKK terrorist organization and its branches, said General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg of the Swedish public television and radio company SVT.
Answering the question why Turkey does not ratify Sweden and Finland to NATO, Stoltenberg noted that Ankara’s fears are caused by the fact that it suffered more from terrorist attacks than any other alliance country.
NATO Secretary General also approved the Turkish Operation “Claw-Smech” in Syria, noting that “Turkey has the right to protect itself from such terrorist organizations.”
