The former head of the Donbass separatists Igor Strelkov believes that the war in Ukraine will not end in the coming months. So he commented on the statement of the head of the European Council Charles Michel that fighting in Ukraine can end the coming weeks.
“I believe that in the next two to three weeks nothing will decide,” said Strelkov.
In his opinion, there are no prerequisites for this now, since Russia has not created overwhelming superiority in technology, and Ukraine constantly receives new weapons from the West. “Russia now does not have superiority in the number of troops, since partial mobilization has been stopped in the Russian Federation, and Ukraine is constantly conducting mobilization waves,” Strelkov said.
He also expressed the opinion that Ukraine has no resources to defeat the Russian army.
In this regard, Strelkov believes, in the coming months it is possible to take the Russian units in the Zaporizhzhya direction, but it will not lead to anything.
“And if Ukraine inflicts counterattacks, they will also become in the defense of the Russian troops,” Strelkov added, noting that the Ukrainian army “now has no prospects in the attack, even if they are transferred to the German Leopard tanks.”
