Strike of actors of Hollywood ended after 118 days

The Actors of the US Actors (SAG-AFTRA) after 118 days of strike signed a preliminary agreement with the alliance of cinema and television producers (AMPTP).

AMPTP noted that Sag-Aftra will receive “the largest increase in the minimum wage over the past 40 years.”

In addition, the actors will receive protection from the threat of artificial intelligence.

AMPTP actors’ agreement was estimated at more than $ 1 billion.

The strike of the actors turned out to be one of the longest in the history of Hollywood, it lasted 118 days. Due to Sag-AFTRA rallies, the production of many films and TV shows was postponed, some projects were closed, and film festivals were held without the participation of Hollywood celebrities.
