Europe this summer collided with the strongest drought over five centuries. This conclusion was reached by experts of the United Research Center of the European Union, writes Bloomberg.
This is confirmed by other organizations. The European Observatory calculated that about 64% of the EU territory faced warnings about drought or an emergency due to drought.
The chief economist of Trinity Bank Lukash Kovanda said that the drought exacerbates the energy problems of Europe. According to weather forecasters, hot and arid conditions will remain in some European regions until November.
