A number of studies that will be carried out within the framework of the first manned space mission of Turkey will become a standard for the whole world. This was announced by Anadolu by the head of the Turkish space agency (Tua) Serdar Hussein Yildirim as part of the Uludag Congress, which continues in the Uludag region,
The head of Tua recalled that Turkey has continued its space research for more than 20 years and in the near future it will present the opportunity to make a mission in long -range space.
According to Yyldyryma, 12 out of 50 out of 50 applications were approved as part of the first manned space mission of Turkey, which came from universities and various organizations for the purpose of conducting experiments. Most of these studies will be carried out for the first time. At the end of the mission to distant space, Turkey will reach a different level, said the head of Tua.
“It is expected that the launch will take place approximately at the end of the year or in the New Year. It does not depend on us. I hope that if there are no surprises or technical problems, our first astronaut Alper Geezeravji will go to the international space station on the appointed day (ISS) and will conduct scientific experiments there, ”said Yyldyrym.
According to the head of the space agency, the national space program consists of two stages and today progress has been achieved for all the specified goals.
“The first stage provides for a flight to the Moon on the spacecraft we have developed, an exit to the orbit of the moon, staying there for several months, and then committing a rigid landing on the moon. We strive to achieve this in the first half of 2026. After 5-6 years we plan to plan Carry out a soft landing, ”added Yyldyrym.
