Sudan: army and special forces agreed to humanitarian truce for period of seven days

The sides of the armed conflict in Sudan – the Sudanese army and the forces of quick response (special forces) – agreed on Saturday to a humanitarian truce for a period of seven days.

This was reported by Al Jazeera with reference to sources in the Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia.

This information is confirmed by Al Arabiya. According to him, the army and special forces signed an agreement on the humanitarian truce in the Saudi city of Jidd.

It will enter into force 48 hours after its signing.

The parties agreed to open humanitarian corridors to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the population.
