The number of deaths from cholera in Sudan increased to 433 people, the country’s Ministry of Health reports.
According to the agency, the total number of cases of the disease increased to 13,922.
Since the beginning of June, rains and floods have been observed in Sudan, which contributes to the spread of cholera.
The Sudanese authorities declared an epidemic on August 12.
In the context of the ongoing war and ineffective work of the healthcare system, the spread of infectious diseases exacerbates the situation for the country’s population.
