Finland plans to apply for an entry into NATO simultaneously with Sweden. In this regard, the government first slows down the process of submitting documents, writes the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter.
According to the publication, such a step will help two countries alleviate the negative reaction of Russia regarding the expansion of the boundaries of the alliance.
“Finland is currently slowing down its process, while Sweden accelerates the pace so that both countries can, if such a decision is made, simultaneously apply for membership,” the newspaper writes with reference to the Sweden government.
