Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Sweden – Jaykhun Bayramov and Ann Linde exchanged letters on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between countries, the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry said.
According to the foreign policy, the Swedish Foreign Minister celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and, taking advantage of the case, praised the friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden. Ann Linde wished to continue good relations and cooperation between countries.
In turn, Jayhun Bayramov noted that the cultural event, which will be held on May 19 at the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, is symbolic from the point of view of the Nobel Heritage in Baku. The minister emphasized that over these years, economic and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden has developed in ascending.
“We believe that Sweden will successfully preside the EU Council next year, and are ready to contribute to activities that will be carried out as part of the Eastern Partnership,” Bayramov wrote.
According to the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, the heads of foreign policy departments expressed sincere congratulations and wished the further development of friendship and cooperation between Baku and Stockholm.
