The Swiss bank Credit Suisse froze Russian assets for 17.6 billion Swiss francs (more than $ 19 billion).
This was reported by the Swiss newspapers Tan and Sonntags Zeitung.
Although officially, 7.5 billion francs (about $ 8.1 billion) were frozen in Switzerland in Ukraine, Credit Suisse blocked 17.6 billion, which is a third of all Russian assets that are declared Swiss, the publication noted.
Of this amount, only 4 billion belong to persons included in the Swiss sanctions list. As for the remaining 13.6 billion, we are talking about assets belonging to persons who are sanctions in other states, as well as the means of Russian Central Bank and the state, Tan and Sonntags Zeitung indicate.
