Syria: After 61, BAAS Party Regime Collapsed

In Syria, the 61-year-old bloody rule of the Baas party, which came to power in Syria in 1963, collapsed.

This happened after the capital of the country Damascus got out of control of the regime as a result of the Civil War, which erupted in 2011. The authorities tried to brutally suppress the national movement for freedom.

The use of force on the part of the regime, as a result of which thousands of people were killed, turned this process into a civil war.

“Baas” (the party of the Arab socialist revival) came to power in Syria as a result of a coup d’etat in 1963. The father of Bashar al -Assad, Hafez Assad, seized power as a result of the intra -party coup in 1970. He was proclaimed Syria President in 1971.

Bashar Assad headed the Baas party in 2000 after the death of his father.

The board of the Assad regime and the Baas party ended when the speakers against the regime of formation entered the capital Damascus.

Against the backdrop of a long struggle of the armed opposition, the regime did not go to resolve the problem with diplomatic and peaceful means, despite international pressure.

After the exacerbation of clashes in Syria on November 27, the regime lost control of many regions of the country, including Aleppo, Idlib and Hama.
