Syria Citizens Who Have Found Refuge In Turkey Return To Their Homeland

The Syrians who found refuge in Turkey during the Civil War in their country, continue to return home after the overthrow of the 61-year regime of the BAAS party.

16-year-old Hikmet Haskiro told Anadola that, having arrived in Turkey at the age of 3, he really loved this country.

“The Turkish people were very good for me, I am grateful to them. I am very glad to go to Syria. I have not seen my relatives for 13 years, and now I will see them. I am very happy,” Haskiro said.

12-year-old Jennet ATRA, who, together with her family, arrived at the border point to return to Syria, said that she loves her school friends and teachers very much.

30-year-old Muhammet Farikh, who arrived in Turkey 6 years ago, noted: “Now the war is over, I am returning. I will go to Damascus. Thank the Turkish people.”
