In Syria, the composition of the new Cabinet of Ministers, led by President Ahmed al-Sharaa.

The ceremony of bringing to the oath of the first government, formed under the leadership of Ash Sharaa after the overthrow of the 61-year BAAS regime, was held in the People’s Palace in the capital of the country, Damascus.

“Today was the day when we begin to move towards the future, which we deserve, drawing power from our past, with determination and firm intention,” the president said, speaking at the corresponding ceremony.

Ash Sharaa announced the determination of the Syrian administration to restore state institutions, based on the principles of transparency and accountability in all processes.

The head of state emphasized that he would deal with the economic and social problems that the people have experienced for many years.

The President also noted that he will protect and strengthen human rights and main freedoms, as well as improve the system of education and healthcare in order to ensure a better life to future generations.

“Working together, we will develop our country, not allowing the penetration of corruption into institutes. Justice is the basis of everything, and this value will become a compass that will direct us in every decision made,” said Ash Sharaa.

“With this government, we decisively go along the path of change and development. We will work day and night to justify the trust of the people,” the Syrian leader added.

The position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the new government was taken by Assad Hassan Shebani, the Minister of Defense – Murkhaf Abu Kasra, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ennes Khattab.
