The Syrian army opened fire on the participants in the anti -government demonstration in the city of Deraa in the south of the country.
According to local sources, the action was held in the areas of Neva and Dael.
As reported, the manifestants chanted the slogans “Down with the regime”.
Information about the dead and the wounded was not received.
Following the authorities accepted on August 16 in Damascus, a decision to increase fuel prices in many regions of the country began protests.
The most numerous rallies took place in the provinces of Deraa and Suwrid.
