The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the New Government of Syria called on the United States to completely cancel sanctions against the country to ensure stability and prosperity.
According to the Syrian news agency Sana, the Foreign Ministry noted that the sanctions imposed against the Bashar Assad regime have lost their relevance after its overthrow and now negatively affect the Syrian people.

The statement also expressed satisfaction with the US decision to temporarily soften the sanctions. We are talking about the provision of six -month exceptions that allow you to carry out certain operations in the energy and financial spheres to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria.
Earlier, the US Department of Finance reported a temporary cancellation of a number of restrictions to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid. It is indicated that this measure covers transactions with state institutions of Syria, as well as operations related to the sale, supply, storage or donation of energy resources, including oil, natural gas and electricity.
According to the license issued by the Office for Foreign Asset (OFAC), until July 7, non -profit personal money transfers and operations associated with the Central Bank of Syria are allowed.
