“Serbia as a strategic partner of Azerbaijan can contribute to the restoration of liberated lands on many aspects.” This was announced to journalists by the ex-president of Serbia Boris Tadich, participating in the IX Global Baku Forum.
According to him, Belgrade can share his experience how to solve the problem with the increase of forced immigrants to liberated territories and help in the issue of reconciliation between the former parties to the conflict, as this is a very important aspect of future cohabitation and the world in the region.
Speaking about the current energy crisis, he noted that Serbia, unfortunately, is not an energy hub. Therefore, according to Tadich, she is forced to use interconnectors to connect to those gas pipelines that were built by Azerbaijan and its partners to deliver Caspian gas to Europe.
“When I was the president, this was my idea – to conduct all gas corridors through Serbia and become an energy hub for southeastern Europe,” said Tadich.
