The number of deaths from the consequences of heavy rains in Tajikistan increased to 17 people, the Emergency Situations Committee (CCC) under the Tajik government reported.
Rescuers discovered the bodies of four more people – three women and men, the identities of the dead have not yet been established.
In addition, during rescue work in the Khatlon region it turned out that 100 heads of livestock were killed due to the gathering of the village.
According to rescuers, roads are blocked in several areas, the houses and buildings are flooded, dozens of cars are damaged with mud streams.
The committee specified that in all areas affected by a natural disaster, they continue to eliminate the consequences of emergencies.
Strong rains, held on Sunday on August 27 in Tajikistan, caused flooding, villages and rockfalls. Earlier, 13 victims of natural disaster were reported.
