Tajikistan as a leading state of the world for the development of a “green” economy in 2037 will actually become a “green” country.
This was announced in his message to the country’s parliament by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Emomali Rahmon.
According to him, in 2023, electricity production in Tajikistan was completely ensured by renewable sources, that is, 100 percent of “green” energy.
The head of state explained that on this basis, according to international standards, up to 2037, greenhouse gas emissions in Tajikistan will be reduced to the limit.
“Now our country takes 6th place in the world in terms of electricity production from renewable sources. We plan to put into operation the third block of the Rogun hydroelectric power station in 2025. For this purpose, more than 2023, at the expense of the state budget, more were sent more 5 billion somoni, currently 15 thousand specialists, workers and 3.5 thousand units of construction equipment are functioning at this important object of the century, ”said the President of Tajikistan.
