In the first 6 months of 2024, Tajikistan visited 748.3 thousand foreign citizens. This was announced at a press conference by the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Tourism under the Government of Tajikistan Kamoliddin Muminzod, reports Hovar.
According to him, of which 580.5 thousand people arrived in the country as tourists.
The head of the committee noted that statistics exceeds last year’s indicators by 19.1 %.
Of the total number of foreign tourists, 687.8 thousand people, or 91.9 % are residents of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and 60.5 thousand people, or 8.1 % – residents of the far abroad countries.
