Taliban again ask to return helicopters stolen to Central Asia countries

The Taliban Ministry of Defense once again turned to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan with a request to return the helicopters that were stolen to the post -Soviet republics of Central Asia in August 2021, Tolonews reports with reference to the representative of the Taliban Ministry of Defense, Horazami.

According to him, Kabul will accept the stolen helicopters soon. “Helicopters are the property of the Afghan people. They must be returned to the current government of [Afghanistan], the Ministry of Defense,” said Horazam.

Afghan analysts, in turn, believe that it will be impossible to obtain helicopters until the Taliban government is recognized as an international community.

Earlier, the deputy head of the Taliban, Mullah Abdul Gani Baradar, called on Uzbekistan to return planes and helicopters on which the Afghan pilots left the country after the fall of the former government.
