Taliban and defenders of Panjshera negotiate

The Taliban movement and defenders of Panjscher agreed not to start hostilities before the next negotiations, the former deputy chairman of the Parliament of Afghanistan Muhammad Alam Yeziyar told reporters to journalists.

According to him, the negotiations were held on Wednesday in the city of Charikar – the center of the province of Parwa, Interfax reports.

“The delegation of the front of the national resistance, which consisted of 12 people representing different provinces and ethnic groups of the country, headed Haji Almas Zane. After three hours of discussion, an agreement was reached not to start the fighting against each other before the next round of negotiations,” said Eziyar, who was part of the negotiators of the Opposition Taliban of the delegation.

The date of the next meeting will be agreed by the leadership of the opposing parties later, he added.

The official representative of the Taliban Varak Alhanafi reported on Wednesday evening that the delegation of movement consisting of seven people was headed by Amirhhan Mottaki. In the former Taliban government from 1996 to 2001, Mottaki served as Minister of Information and Culture.
