The Taliban Ministry of Defense repaired the military equipment that the Americans and other foreign military abandoned when leaving Afghanistan. Now it is actively used by the military, writes Reuters.
In particular, two American-made aircraft and one Russian Mi-24 helicopter
flew over Kabul during a test check.
Before leaving Afghanistan, American troops destroyed and damaged more than 70 aircraft and dozens of armored vehicles, and also disabled the air defense systems.
The representative of the Ministry of Defense Enetullah Khovazhmi said that the Taliban recently repaired foreign military equipment. In addition to a helicopter and aircraft, a team of engineers of the Ministry of Defense recently repaired 35 tanks, 15 Humvee armored vehicles and 20 Navistar 7000 military -made military vehicles. It is not known exactly how many damaged military equipment in Afghanistan and what percentage of the Taliban engineers will be able to repair.
