According to him, a delegation from Afghanistan will discuss the conditions of stay and return to the homeland of Afghan refugees with the Turkish authorities. “We want this delegation to conduct extensive discussions about refugee repatriation, their problems and problems,” said Mohammad Arsalu Haruti.
Taliban wants Turkey to provide conditions for Afghan refugees in accordance with international law. According to the Afghan side, now there are problems with statistics, the deportation procedure and the help provided to Afghan refugees in Turkey. For example, the exact number of refugees from Afghanistan in Turkey is unknown. According to official figures, there are about 120,000 of them in the country. It is known that over the past seven months, Turkey deported 40,000 Afghans without documents back to their homeland.
