Tashkent And Belgrade Expand Cooperation In Field Of Migration And Mobility

Uzbekistan and Serbia reached an agreement on the development of an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of migration and mobility.

As Dunyo reports, a delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olympus Abdullaev and consisting of representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the migration agency at the Cabinet of Ministers, visited Serbia.

Within the framework of the visit, negotiations were held with the Minister of Labor, Employment, on Veterans and Social Affairs of Nemani Starovich, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nikola Stoyanovich and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia Vladan Zagogzhansh.

The parties discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of external labor migration, simplifying visa requirements, as well as issues of protecting the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens working in Serbia.

A agreement has been reached on the development and signing of an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of migration and mobility.

In addition, mutual interest in holding the next consultations between the consular and legal departments of the two countries is expressed.

The parties agreed to expand the legal framework for the development of economic cooperation, in particular, the intensification of investment cooperation between the two countries.

The visit emphasizes the desire of Uzbekistan to strengthen bilateral relations with Serbia and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
