As part of the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held in Qatar with the Chief Executive Director of Invest Qatar Sheikh Ali Al-Valid al-Al-Tani.
According to the Uzbek state media, during the negotiations, issues related to IT spheres were discussed, including the preparation of IT specialists and promoting their employment at the international level, financial support for local startups, as well as the development of plans for the development of IT industries.
Following the meeting of Uzbekistan and Qatar signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of information technology.
The document is aimed at strengthening interaction in the field of IT, digital economy and innovation.
Invest Qatar (The Investment Promotion Agency Qatar) was founded in 2019 and is engaged in attracting foreign investment in Qatar, as well as the assistance of further development of the country’s economy.
The organization also acted as a regional partner on ICTWeek 2024, which helps to strengthen investment ties in the region.
