Tashkent And Islamabad Activate Trade And Economic Interaction In Key Sectors

Uzbekistan and Pakistan are discussing ways to activate trade relations in key sectors.

According to Uzdaily, as part of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, met with the leadership of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pakistan (FPCI) and its members.

Discussed ways to activate bilateral economic and trade relations in areas where the existing potential was realized to the end.

The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan emphasized the need to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two countries and proposed a number of strategic initiatives.

In particular, ideas were proposed to resume the activities of the Council of Entrepreneurs, acting under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the two countries, with the inclusion of 15 entrepreneurs from industries such as textiles, leather and overall industry, agricultural complex, production of building materials and logistics.

It is also proposed to hold the business forum of Uzbekistan and Pakistan in February of this year in Samarkand.

The parties emphasized the importance of creating a permanent platform for communication between businessmen of the two countries, which will significantly strengthen trade relations, implement joint projects and expand the volume of mutual trade.
