Uzbekistan and Croatia agreed to jointly develop an intergovernmental agreement on migration and mobility.
According to Dunyo, with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Croatia was organized. The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior and the Agency of Foreign Labor Migration of Uzbekistan.
, within the framework of the visit, negotiations were held with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia Franno Matushich, State Secretary of the Ministry of Demography and Migration Zhelka Yosich and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Pensions, Family and Social Policy Ivan vision.
The main attention during negotiations is paid to the development of cooperation in the field of labor migration.
The Croatian side confirmed the high interest in attracting qualified Uzbek specialists and expressed their readiness to organize educational courses for labor migrants, including teaching Croatian and foreign languages.
An agreement has also been reached on simplifying the procedures for obtaining working visas for citizens of Uzbekistan.
In addition, a mutual interest in conducting the first consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Croatia is expressed.
A meeting with representatives of recruiting companies and Uzbek labor migrants also took place as part of the visit. The issues of employment and protection of the rights of citizens of Uzbekistan working in Croatia were discussed.
