Uzbekistan officially confirmed the commitment to the international initiative of the Bogotsky appeal aimed at eradicating all forms of violence against children.
This was announced during a round table on the topic “Continuation of violence against children: global initiatives and prospects of Uzbekistan”, organized in cooperation between the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan and the UN Children’s Fund (UNISEF), the Uzbek state media reported on Friday, April 11
The event was attended by representatives of relevant state bodies and organizations, including the director of the Information and Mass Communications Agency Assajon Khojaev.
The steps taken by Uzbekistan in the field of protection of the rights of the child, as well as the implementation of the new law “On the protection of children from all forms of violence”.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of operational response services, the development of integrated support programs and improve national legislation.
Separately discussed measures to achieve sustainable development goals until 2030 in the field of protection of children.
The Bogotsky call is a global initiative, to which more than 100 countries have already joined. The document offers a clear road map of actions, including ensuring the rights and well -being of children, strengthening legal mechanisms, creating effective protection systems, combating risks in the digital environment and developing cooperation between key structures.
The adoption of obligations within the framework of the Bogoitic draft was an important step towards strengthening the systematic protection of children in Uzbekistan and confirmation of the country’s readiness to actively participate in international efforts to ensure the security and well -being of each child.
