Tehran Reported Diplomatic Consultations On Mutual Resumption Of Work Of Embassies Of Syria And Iran

Diplomatic consultations are held with the aim of mutual resumption of the work of the embassies of Iran and Syria.

This was announced at a briefing by the official representative of the government of Iran Fatima Muhajirani, the official Iranian news agency IRNA reports.

“Our approach to the topic of the work of the embassy (in Syria) is diplomatic. We are ready and they are ready. We are holding diplomatic consultations on the opening of embassies of the two countries,” she said.

According to the representative of the Iranian government, in Tehran they attach great importance to the preservation of the territorial integrity of Syria and the formation of a government based on the will of the people in this country.

“Prevention of the spread of terrorism is important for us and for the region,” said Muhajirani.

The representative of the Iranian government did not provide information about the details of the diplomatic process to open the embassies of the two countries.
