The second round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States outlined on April 19 may not be held in Oman. This was announced by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmail Bagai.
At the same time, the diplomat noted that the masqueat will continue to play the role of an intermediary.
The representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry also emphasized that the format of consultations will remain indirect.
In the capital of Oman, Maskata on April 12, indirect negotiations were held by the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi and the US Special Sensant Stevens, Stephen Whitkoff. According to Whitkoff, negotiations between Iran and the USA in Oman were positively and constructively. Arakchi also called the atmosphere of these consultations constructive and calm.
