The world’s largest festival of aviation and space technology Teknofest started on April 27 at the Ataturk Airport in Istanbul.
The popular Teknofest festival opened its doors for fans of science and technology for the seventh time.
The event has been held on an annual basis since 2018 by joint efforts of the T3 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technologies of Turkey. Companies and organizations contributing to the technological development of the country are actively supported by the undertaking.

The purpose of the festival is to increase the interest of society in science and technologies, as well as informing about the achievement of modern Turkey.

The current festival in Istanbul will last from April 27 to May 1.
In general, 41 competitions in 102 different nominations will be organized, in which 332 thousand teams and more than 1 million contestants will take part. The prize fund is more than 13 million Turkish lires, another 30 million lires are allocated to support.
In addition, various colorful air show with the participation of “Turkish stars”, Solo Türk, Hürkuş, Gökbey, Axungur UAVs, Bayraktar Tb2, Bayraktar Akinci and Anka.

At the festival site, the new Turkish unmanned military aircraft Kizilelma will be presented for the first time, which has already landed at Ataturka Airport. The flight from Chorum Airport to the metropolis took 35 minutes.
Teknofest guests will also be able to inspect the new domestic military helicopter Gökbey.
